PUBLIC NOTICE TO TAKE LAND “IN TRUST” ACTION: Notice of final agency determination to take land into trust under 25, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 151. SUMMARY: The Acting Regional Director, Eastern Oklahoma Region, Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Department of the Interior on the below date, has made a final determination to acquire real property “in trust” for the Choctaw Nation. DATE: This determination was made on September 19, 2017. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Ms. Annette Jenkins, Realty Officer, Eastern Oklahoma Region, Eastern Oklahoma Regional Office, Division of Real Estate Services, at (918) 781-4658 SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This notice is published to comply with the requirements of 25 CFR 151.12(b) that notice be given to the public of the decision by the authorized representative of the Secretary of the Interior to acquired land “in trust” at least 30 days prior to signatory acceptance of land “in trust.” The purpose of the 30-day waiting period is to afford interested parties the opportunity to seek judicial review of administrative decisions to take land “in trust” for Tribes or individual Indians before transfer of title to the property occurs. On September 19, 2017, the Acting Regional Director issued a Decision Notice to accept land “in trust” for the Choctaw Nation under the authority of Section 5, of the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934, 25 U.S.C. 465. The Regional Director, on behalf of the Secretary of the Interior, shall acquire title in the name of the United States of America in trust for Choctaw Nation no sooner than 30 days after the initial date this notice is published in the newspaper. The land referred to as “TAL131” property, herein and is described as: A portion of Lot 5 in Townsite Addition No. 7, and a tract of land in the N½ of Section 33, Township 6 North, Range 15 East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, commencing at the Northeast Corner of the NW¼; thence South 02 degrees 13 minutes 33 seconds East, along the East line of said NW¼, a distance of 32.24 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence South 82 degrees 14 minutes 17 seconds East along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 211.45 feet; thence South 07 degrees 19 minutes 03 seconds East along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 376.41 feet; thence South 18 degrees 55 minutes 16 seconds East along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 230.76 feet; thence South 24 degrees 57 minutes 07 seconds East along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 343.09 feet; thence South 11 degrees 50 minutes 20 seconds East along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 164.92 feet; thence South 06 degrees 35 minutes 46 seconds West along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 325.96 feet; thence South 01 degrees 03 minutes 06 seconds West along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 500.10 feet; thence South 00 degrees 55 minutes 29 seconds East along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 550.82 feet; thence South 11 degrees 49 minutes 37 seconds West along U.S. 69 Right-of-Way a distance of 126.68 feet; thence South 87 degrees 34 minutes 31 seconds West along the North line of Lot 4 Pittsburg County Townsite Addition No. 7 a distance of 333.61 feet to the Northwest Corner of Lot 4, also being along the South line of the N½ of Section 33; thence South 87 degrees 35 minutes 10 seconds West along the North line of Lot 5, Townsite Addition No. 7 a distance of 83.98 feet; thence South 07 degrees 26 minutes 35 seconds West a distance of 184.72 feet; thence South 87 degrees 35 minutes 10 seconds West parallel to the North line of Lot 5, Townsite Addition No. 7 a distance of 545.11 feet to a point on the West line of Lot 5; thence North 02 degrees 07 minutes 23 seconds West along the West line of Lot 5 a distance of 182.00 feet to the Northwest Corner of said Lot 5, also the Southwest Corner of the E½SE¼NW¼ of said Section 33; thence North 02 degrees 29 minutes 27 seconds West a distance of 1321.21 feet to the Northwest Corner of the said E½SE¼NW¼; thence South 87 degrees 41 minutes 17 seconds West a distance of 659.60 feet to the Southwest Corner of the NE¼NW¼ of said Section 33; thence North 02 degrees 28 minutes 47 seconds West a distance of 1319.55 feet to the Northwest Corner of the said NE¼NW¼; thence North 87 degrees 40 minutes 02 seconds East a distance of 1231.19 feet; thence South 02 degrees 12 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 16.50 feet; thence South 82 degrees 14 minutes 17 seconds East a distance of 89.09 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 83.48 acres, more or less, LESS AND EXCEPT ANY AND ALL MINERAL INTEREST. "This description and this deed is intended to convey to the United States any interest that the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma may have in the described tract or any interest it may have acquired by virtue of a deed from Edward Randell Ward and Ada Nel Ward, husband and wife, dated September 24, 2010, and filed or record at Book 1826, Page 264, in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma."
