PUBLIC NOTICE TO TAKE LAND “IN TRUST” ACTION: Notice of final agency determination to take land into trust under 25, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 151. SUMMARY: The Acting Regional Director, Eastern Oklahoma Region, Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Department of the Interior on the below date, has made a final determination to acquire real property “in trust” for the Choctaw Nation. On September 19, 2017, the Acting Regional Director issued a Decision Notice to accept land “in trust” for the Choctaw Nation under the authority of Section 5, of the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934, 25 U.S.C. 465. The Regional Director, on behalf of the Secretary of the Interior, shall acquire title in the name of the United States of America in trust for Choctaw Nation no sooner than 30 days after the initial date this notice is published in the newspaper.
