(Published in the McAlester News-Capital July 19th, 2017.) Notice of Filing an Application for Permit Renewal On May 25, 2017 the McAlester Public Works Authority filed an application for permit renewal to discharge municipal/domestic wastewater with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality under the Oklahoma Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (OPDES) for the Water Treatment Plant. The Plant is located at 5200 Water Works Road, McAlester Oklahoma. Legal description of the facility is the SW1/4, NE 11/4, of Section 14, Township 6 North, Range 14 East. The facility discharges to an unnamed tributary of Coal Creek. The application may be reviewed at the Engineering Department located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 28 E Washington McAlester OK 74501.
