ORDINANCE NO. 2605 AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC WAYS AND EASEMENTS THAT LIES IN THE NORTHERLY 30 FEET OF LOT 92; AND THE EASTERLY 30 FEET OF LOT 92 LYING NORTH OF U.S. HIGHWAY NO. 69; AND THE SOUTHERLY 30 FEET OF LOT 68; AND THE EASTERLY 30 FEET OF THE SOUTHERLY 182.39 FEET OF LOT 68; AND THE WESTERLY 30 FEET OF THE SOUTHERLY 180.99 FEET OF LOT 68; IN TOWNSITE ADDITION NO. 4, IN PITTSBURG COUNTY, STATE OF OKLAHOMA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McALESTER, OKLAHOMA, THAT: SECTION 1. It shall be and is hereby declared necessary and expedient to close the following easements, alleys and public ways more particularly described as: The Public Ways and Easements that lies in the Northerly 30 feet of Lot 92; and The Easterly 30 feet of Lot 92 lying North of U.S. Highway No. 69; and the Southerly 30 feet of Lot 68; and The Easterly 30 feet of the Southerly 182.39 feet of Lot 68; and The Westerly 30 feet of the Southerly 180.99 feet of Lot 68; In Townsite Addition No. 4, in Pittsburg County, State of Oklahoma. and to retain a utility easement for the City of McAlesterâs existing water and sewer mains within the easement being closed. SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE The closing of the streets and alleys adopted by this ordinance shall be published within 15 days of approval in a newspaper of general circulation in McAlester, Oklahoma and the change shall become effective 30 days after approval by the City Council as required by Oklahoma General Statutes.
