NOTICE OF ELECTION TOWN OF QUINTON BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Quinton, that for the purpose of electing officers of said town that: 1. A filing period shall be opened by the County Election Board beginning at 8:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2017, and ends at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. 2. A nonpartisan Municipal General Election will be held on April 4, 2017. 3. Absentee ballots shall be provided for any election conducted by the County Election Board. 4. Candidates must be registered voters at an address within the municipality and residents for at least six (6) months prior to filing. 5. Municipal Election shall be nonpartisan, and all candidates shall file as independent candidates. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that (2) Trustees, and (1) Town Clerk-Treasurer, will be nominated and elected at large for the following terms. Trustee... Four (4) year Term Trustee... Four (4) Year Term Town Clerk/ Treasurer..... Four (4) Year Term BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each candidate must be a qualified elector by virtue of being a resident and registered voter within the municipality or in the Ward if an officer is from a Ward for at least six (6) months prior to filing a Declaration of Candidacy.
