Two In The Field Part 3 of 6
We find in Matthew 24:40, where Christ spoke about "two in the field." These two workers represent workers for two different churches, one a harlot woman (church) (Revelation 17:1) and the other for the true church (Rev. 12:1).
In Matthew 7:1, "Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." All those that do "the will of the Father." Had He said, "all those who believe," then that would have included Satan, for Satan also believes and trembles (James 2:19). But Jesus said "..he that doeth the will of my Father…" As far as salvation, next to Grace, obedience is what God considers (James 2:21-26).
Now let us consider 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (This is who Christ was referring to in Matt. 7:21-23). And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great think if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
So Satan’s ministers, those workers in the field, sowing false seed (word) that people are partaking of today. More next week. For more information, check out our church web-site
