Two In The Field Part 2 of 6
Last week, we found Matthew 24:40, refers to two workers in the field. This shows there are two different kinds of workers in the world. One is spreading the truth, and the other is spreading falsehood (or things which are not Biblical).
So much is spoken about this woman in the New Testament, yet multitudes have never heard a word explained about her and her daughters (Rev. 17:1, 5). It is not easy, to explain this subject, as when people hear it, they think the person is judgmental, narrow minded. It is not politically correct to speak or explain this subject. Yet, we are to be like Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2, "…Preach the word…For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." This is the time we are living in today. People want to hear smooth things, not things different from the normal teachings of the day.
John said in 1 John 4:1, "BELOVED, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." This means "many false prophets (teachers, ministers) are out in the field, teaching things they ought not. More next week. For more information, check out our church web-site
