((SEAL)) Board of County Commissioners, Pittsburg County Gene Rogers Kevin Smith Ross Selman District #1 District #2 District #3 PUBLIC NOTICE FOR EARLY REVIEW Pittsburg County District Number Two is proposing to expend Federal funds in an area that is subject to flooding as identified by the Federal Emergency Management Administration. The subject funds are Community Development Block Grant funds administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Pittsburg County District Number Two is proposing to undertake the following activities in the area: Oil/chip resurface/renovation of approximately five (5) miles of South Brewer Road (aka Brewer Road) in District Two of Pittsburg County beginning at the southern incorporated limit of Savanna, OK and continuing south to intersection with State Highway 63. Said road borders and/or lies within Sections 16, 21, 28, 29, 32, 33, T4N, R14E and Sections 4, 5, 8, 9, 16, 17, T3N, R14E. As project appears to cross Zone A Chun Creek floodplain in Sections 16, 32, 33, T4N, R14E and Sections 8, 9, 16, 17, T3N, R14E (FEMA Flood Panels 4004940011A/4004940014A of 1982 and 40121C0600E/40121C0725 of 2010), grantee is required to observe Executive Order 11988 requiring opportunity for public review as part of the decision-making process. The purpose of this notice is to give an early opportunity for interested agencies, persons or groups to comment on the proposed action. Pittsburg County District Number Two is desirous of considering any feasible alternatives or adjustments to the anticipated project, which might minimize any potential adverse effects upon the floodplain as a result of the project. Pittsburg County District Number Two has additional information concerning this project available for public review and copying (fee), upon request, at the office of the Pittsburg County Commissioners, 115 E. Carl Albert Pkwy, Room 100, McAlester, OK 74501. Any comments relative to this proposed expenditure of Federal funds in an area identified as a flood hazard should be submitted in writing to Kevin Smith, Pittsburg County Commissioner, at the address above on or before July 25, 2016.
