The Two Women Part 2 of 3
We are examining the two women found in Revelation 12:1 and 17:1. One is described as a righteous woman (church) and the other is described as a harlot woman (false church).

When Jesus was here, He had much to say about both churches. Although the church in Revelation 17:1 appeared many years after Christ, yet He had words of warning for false teachers, as in Matthew 16:6, "Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees." The disciples could not understand what He was talking about, then in verse 12 He explained, "Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees."
Jesus is explaining very clearly, we can loose our salvation from believing false doctrine, as well as sinful acts.
Also, John was inspired to write the warning in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets (teachers) are gone out into the world." In the end time, this false church (woman) would be very prominent. We find history records, this church readily admits she feels God give her the authority to change His word.
