THE TWO WOMEN

The Two Women The Two Women Part 1 of 3 As we read the book of Revelation, we notice John mentions two women, and these two women are described different one from the other. The first one is found in Revelation 12:1, and is described as being "…clothed with the sun…", so she represents a righteous church or the saints. The other is found in Revelation 19:1, and is described as a "…great whore…" which means a false church. When Jesus was here, many times he spoke in parables, Matthew 24:41, describes "Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left." Since they both were said to be grinding at the mill, means, they both were putting out food for people to eat. Since one is righteous and the other immoral, means one is putting out truth for the people to digest (for their good). The other is putting out food (false teachings) which is detrimental to their salvation. As we examine the religious world, we can see the immoral woman, is having greater success than the woman teaching the truth. This was foretold by Jesus Himself in Matthew 7:13, "…for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat." We will examine these two women further next week. Check out our church web site mcalestercog7d.com. Wesley Walker - Pastor Church of God (Seventh Day) P.O. Box 1395 ~ 5 E.
