Abba Father Part 4 of 4
We have been emphasizing what "Abba Father" means to us. The word 'father, is an enduring name, a name that gives us enter feelings of comfort. We have referred to other descriptive feelings, "welcoming Father, worthy Father." Today, we would like to say, it also means, "we have a wealthy Father."
In Haggai 2:8, God assures His people He is able to provide for them, as He says, "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine…" Then in Psalms 50:10, 12 we are told "For every beast of theforest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills…the world is mine, and the fullness thereof." Just think, we were born into the richest family upon earth. Our Father is more than able to provide for us. But it is not merely financial support we need, it is courage, faith, strength, which we need to fight the good fight of faith. Yes, our Father is able to supply our financial needs, but much more also. To be assured of the above, we must take heed to Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 4:2, "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." We are to be faithful children or we will not inherit the richness of our Fathers blessings.
