What is so special about Easter? Is it the eggs? Have you ever tried to figure out what eggs have to do with bunny rabbits?
The Easter baskets and the Easter outfits are a part of it all. I must confess that I like the boiled and dyed Easter eggs. I usually eat about six of them each year. The ladies are very pretty in their pretty hats and fancy dresses. Like many of the sacred events of the church, the Secular has taken it over. We that call ourselves Christians know Easter Sunday is the celebration of a very sacred event from our history. This is the day that represents the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus was crucified and put to death on the cross and then placed in a tomb. On the first day of the week our Lords followers came to the tomb where they found Jesus had indeed defeated the grave and death and was alive. He appeared many times after his resurrection, so this year as always we PRAISE God for his resurrection. Let us enjoy our family and have a wonderful Easter, but don’t forget what it is really about!! HappyEaster from Friendship Bible Baptist Church and Pastor Bob Kelley.
