What Is Greater - Performing Miracles or Preaching The Gospel?
Part 2 of 2
In John 14:12, when Jesus was performing miracles, He told his apostles that they would perform greater miracles than raising the dead, healin the blind or the sick.
In 1 Corinthians 13:2, Paul said, "if he had faith to remove mountains, yet did not have love. He would be nothing". So Love is even greater than faith to perform miracles.
When Jesus returns (Matt. 7:22-23) there are some who will say, they were able to prophesy, cast out devils and done many wonderful works. Yet something was lacking. What was lacking, "salvation."
In 1 Peter 5:20, we are told, "Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." The greatest miracle one can perform today is the miracle of conversion. If we should raise someone from the dead, they would just die again. But if we (with the help of the Lord) should convert a sinner from the error of his/her ways, that miracle would be forever. And truly conversion is a miracle indeed.
So if you would like to perform a miracle, then go and convert one to Christ, and you will have performed the greatest miracle that exists.
