(Published in the McAlester News-Capital on March 5th, 2017.) RESOLUTION #17-176 The Board of County Commissioners, Pittsburg County, met in a special meeting on Thursday, March 2, 2017. WHEREAS, on January 30, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners, Pittsburg County, set the filing period and election date for the Pittsburg County Free Fair Board of Directors election. WHEREAS, after the filing period ended on February 24, 2017, only one individual filed for the Pittsburg County Free Fair Board of Directors. WHEREAS, due to only one filing, the Board of County Commissioners, Pittsburg County, shall move to cancel the Pittsburg County Free Fair Board election that was set for March 16, 2017. THEREFORE, BE IT KNOWN, the Board of County Commissioners, Pittsburg County, do hereby cancel the Pittsburg County Free Fair Board election that was set for March 16, 2017.
