Different Kinds Of Angels Part 1 of 4
Different kind of angels is a fascinating study. Although the subject has nothing to do with our salvation, it is important to understand everything we can about God and His family. As we begin our study, the age old question comes to mind, where did the angels come from? Colossians 1:16, says, For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible…all things were created by him and for him:
In 1 Peter 3:22, it says in reference to Christ, Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. So the angles were made in subjection to Christ, the same as we. It is also interesting to note, that different kinds of angels were created, and seemingly for different purposes, plus were called by different names. In Isaiah 6:2-3, "Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; and twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts…" These angles were called seraphims, had six wings and their purpose was to worship the Lord.
