Armageddon Part 2 of 6
Last week we identified the three unclean spirits of Revelation 16:13. They were; the dragon (devil), the beast (nationalism), the false prophet (Islam or Mohammedanism).
What is the purpose of these three unclean spirits? We find the answer in verse 14, "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."
Even though they are 'spirits of devils," they are working miracles. Not miracles, as healing, raising the dead, but miracles working amongst the nations, accomplishing things which we never imagined some years ago. Take for instance, Islam or Mohammedanism. Some twenty years ago, we heard nothing of it, only that someone accepted that religion for their lives. But now Islam has the nations in an uproar. Doing things we thought were impossible.
Why is God using these unclean spirits? Verse 16, explains it all, "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." Armageddon is the place God has chosen, a few miles outside of Jeru salem for the last battle to be fought.
Next week, we will begin to try and show how the nations will align themselves, how God has had this in progress for some time.
