The Calling of God Part 1 of 3
Some individuals, go through life feeling they are nothing. They look around and see those that have become leaders in the community, or in the church, but what am I? If you are a child of God, you have received a calling. Notice what God says in Romans 1:7, To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints."
Maybe you are not a leader in the community, or in a church, but in God’s sight, you are somebody. You are a saint. You may say, "but I have done nothing great." That’s the good news, you do not have to do anything great, or wait a hundred years. All you have to do, is accept the Lord, as your savior, repent of your sins, and you became a saint in a matter of a few minutes.
After accepting the Lord, some say, "I am a sinner saved by grace." We should be saying, "I was a sinner, but I have been saved by grace." The sinner is in the past-tense. We do not find in the bible, where God calls his people sinners. If God looks upon us as saints, should we not rejoice in that? We address some people, Mr. President, or Mr. Governor, but I would rather be called a saint, than any title that man could give me. In God’s sight, we are somebody. We are a saint. More next week.
