The Great Rewarder
Part 1 of 4
There are various reasons why man serves the creator. We serve Him because we want to please Him. We serve Him because we want to show we do love Him. We also serve Him because we know that God is a rewarder of those who do serve Him.
In 1 John 3:22, we find, And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him… John knew when he came to God concerning a need, he would be heard. He knew God was able to provide anything. Whatever requests he might have, God was able to supply. We also know this, but we should be like the three Hebrew children, when they ask for deliverance or protection, they knew God was able to provide this. Yet they said in Daniel 3:18, But if not…we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou has set up. If God should not see fit to grant or reward our need, we still look to Him as our "Great Rewarder."
Next week, we will begin to see that God rewards us for various reasons. Those reasons keeps us coming back to our Great Rewarder.
